Thomas Glanfield, President and CEO, joined Boston Portfolio Advisors after retiring from Ernst & Young as a Partner in its industry leading Structured Finance business. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry serving banking and capital markets clients in the corporate finance and securitization markets and has worked with issuers, bankers, servicers, rating agencies and investors on all aspects of the structured finance business. Tom has specialized in consumer finance and the mortgage industry in recent years and has provided advisory services to many clients in all asset classes of the financial services industry including residential mortgages, home equity loans, credit cards, auto loans, equipment loans, future flows, and trade receivables among others.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Tom was Group Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was responsible for the Structured Finance business. At CIBC, he established the Asset Securitization Group growing it to over $10 billion in managed assets from over 75 clients. At Citigroup, Tom was a Vice President where he served as structured finance banker responsible for origination, structuring, underwriting and client management for clients securitizing consumer and corporate portfolios. He pioneered methodologies for valuing and purchasing consumer portfolios and integrated them into the bank’s servicing platform. He also served as Executive Vice President of a major credit card company (Fortune 500) responsible for sales, acquisitions, marketing, and product development. Tom also served in corporate banking roles with JPMorgan Chase working with consumer credit based clients.
Tom has served on several advisory boards including MasterCard, the Asset Securitization Forum (ASF) Advisory Board, Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business, and FAU’s Information Technology and Operations Management Department. He has published numerous articles in various industry publications on data management, valuation, residual interests, securitization as part of in the capital structure and credit risk. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences on financing strategies, structured finance, due diligence, compliance and risk management.

Scott Calahan, As Chairman and Founder of Boston Portfolio Advisors, Scott Calahan has 30+ years experience in asset management, asset valuation, risk management, mortgage finance, auto finance, equipment finance, education finance, structured finance and capital markets.
Mr. Calahan’s recent work has focused on multi-dimensional improvement of mortgage loan and student loan securitization performance, servicer oversight and direction, valuation and management of securitization residuals, valuation and management of charged-off receivables, and expert witness engagements in mortgage finance and education finance.
As asset manager, he has directed the valuation, surveillance, performance improvement, and liquidation of over 125 securitization residuals with underlying assets of over $15 billion – asset classes are primarily home equity, subprime auto, and private student loan. He has served as expert or asset manager in more than a dozen Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases, and has more than a decade of litigation experience as a testifying expert involving complex securitizations and loan portfolio performance.
Mr. Calahan earned his B.S. in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University and his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. He is Chairman of the TERI Plan Trust Advisory Committee, a Director of several privately held corporations, Director and Finance Committee Chairman of a think tank, and member of a university advisory board.

Jeremy Reifsnyder, Managing Director, provides litigation support and expert witness services to law firms and their clients. These services are related to matters regarding the financing, administration, and servicing of corporate, mortgage and consumer loan portfolios.
For over thirty years Mr. Reifsnyder has been a leader in and consultant to the financial services industry. Recognized for his expertise in corporate and structured finance, securitization, credit derivatives, and financial guaranty insurance, he is an expert at evaluating the risk and underwriting the credit of, structuring, and pricing financial transactions involving corporate credit and asset backed risks. His lengthy structured finance experience spans many different asset classes including CDO’s and special purpose vehicles such as ABCP conduits. He has extensive experience dealing with credit rating agencies and applying rating agency methodologies to evaluate corporate credit and asset backed risks in such transactions.
Before joining Boston Portfolio Advisors, he provided consulting, litigation support and testifying expert witness services to financial and corporate entities in North America, Europe, and the Middle East on behalf of his consulting firm TLD Partners LLC. Previously, in leadership positions at banks, securities firms, and insurance companies (including Deutsche Bank AG, MBIA Insurance Corporation, and Bear Stearns Asset Management), Mr. Reifsnyder created and turned around strategic business units, pioneered new markets and financing transactions in the U.S. and in global markets, and developed highly successful client relationships. He has negotiated personally or directed at a strategic level the origination, pricing, risk evaluation, and closing of over $35 billion in corporate and structured financing transactions. A frequent speaker on risk management, structured finance, and recent credit market developments at financial conferences, he also has served on the leadership team of industry associations and worked with government and regulatory bodies.

Steve Campo is a seasoned capital markets professional with more than 30 years of experience as an accountant, issuer, financial guarantor and advisor in the securitization industry. He joins Boston Portfolio Advisors (BPA) as a Managing Director, focusing on providing clients with assistance in the areas of risk management and mitigation, compliance and valuation services, litigation advisory and expert witness services, particularly in the areas of residential mortgage and financial guarantee insurance.
Steve founded SeaView Advisors, LLC, an advisory firm focused on bringing specialized advisory services to the structured finance marketplace. He previously served as Managing Partner at Paladin Advisors, LLC, focused on providing private and government clients with risk management and other structured finance related advisory services to numerous firms including major accounting and consulting firms for mortgage and other asset based services on government contracts for GNMA, Treasury and others.
Steve previously was a Partner (retired) at Ernst & Young, LLP where he served as Managing Partner for the Structured Finance Advisory Services practice providing clients with agreed upon procedures, cash flow modeling, due diligence and other advisory services related to the issuance of securitizations and other financings. He was the lead partner on the firm’s Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA) account. He was also deeply involved in working with insurance companies, financial guarantors and investors to address portfolio evaluation, pricing practices and processes, illiquid securities, and other credit and risk management issues related to the subprime debacle’s market disruption.
Prior to joining EY, he was Senior Managing Director, Head of Structured Finance Group, at MBIA Insurance Corporation, responsible for oversight of the financial guarantee business in the mortgage-and asset-backed areas. He also served as an issuer of public housing program MBS.
Steve has been a speaker and panel moderator on securitization matters at various industry conferences, seminars and investor forums. He has also been a guest lecturer on the credit crisis and other related topics at the university level.

Desiree Daly, As Chief Credit Officer for Boston Portfolio Advisors Desiree is responsible for managing mortgage put-back analyses; mortgage loan and student loan quality control and underwriting, which includes assessing the quality of client loan files; performing loan file due diligence reviews; determining compliance with underwriting and regulatory guidelines; assessing data integrity; assessing fraud risk; and client reporting. She is also instrumental in developing underwriting policies and procedures.
With over 20 years in the financial services industry, Ms. Daly has extensive experience in mortgage banking, underwriting, and project management. Prior to joining BPA, Ms. Daly was an independent consultant where she managed workflow and training for specific underwriting projects. Previously, she was Vice President of Operations for a mortgage brokerage firm. In this position she developed and implemented corporate policies and procedures, a compliance training program, and a quality assurance program.
Ms. Daly earned her B.A. in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Mary Baldwin College and an M.B.A from Nova Southeastern University. Kenneth Parzygnat, Director of Finance and Operations, joined Boston Portfolio Advisors following his leadership role with a private equity firm where he was an integral part in the development of the operations for a loan origination and servicing division for distressed debt portfolios. Additionally, he is experienced in the development and implementation of organizational strategic initiatives and in the coordination of company acquisitions. Throughout his career he has developed a strategic/tactical financial expertise with strong qualifications in business development, improvement of operational efficiencies and P&L management. He is proficient in identifying operational inefficiencies and developing improved procedures to optimize growth.

Mark Mousseau, As Director of Education Services, Mr. Mousseau specializes in student loan portfolio performance improvement and advanced analytics. He draws on his prior experience at the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority where he was part of a finance team that structured and issued over $1 billion of student loan asset-backed securities including fixed, variable, taxable and tax-exempt bonds. Mr. Mousseau has extensive experience managing and improving performance at third party servicers and collection agencies and is an integral component of BPA’s proprietary student loan scoring model and portfolio management operations.
His skills include Asset Valuation and Optimization, Risk Management, Student Loan Underwriting and Predictive Modeling, Cash Flow Modeling and Forecasting.

Kevin Kohl, Director of IT and analytics, Joined BPA as a financial analyst in 2006. His experience includes financial analysis and reporting of all types of asset-backed portfolios including residential and commercial loan portfolios, auto loan portfolios, student loan portfolios, securitization residuals and I/Os. Kevin is also an affiliate member of the CFA.

Alan Blair, Senior Director, joined Boston Portfolio Advisors in March 2012. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry having held various positions in education finance and healthcare with a focus in collections management, risk management and finance.
Mr. Blair previously was Director of Collections at The Education Resource Institute where he was responsible for all areas related to recovery and litigation. Prior to that, he served as Sr. Vice President of Collections at First Marblehead Corporation having overall responsibility for collections management, operations and strategy.
